ELECTION RESULTS

 RSOL-NM is pleased to announce the results of our elections held this past weekend in Albuquerque. We were especially gratified that more than 50 percent of our membership participated in the election. All members were provided a mail-in ballot with bios of each nominee. We are especially proud that we provided our membership the opportunity to accept or reject each nominee. All nominees were approved by wide margins.    

 RSOL-NM’s Board of Directors for the next two years are:

Larry Neely

Alice Benson Johnston

Teller Limon

Charles Knoblauch

 

After the member’s votes were counted, the newly elected board named the following board members as officers.

 

President: Rick Dean

Vice President: Lloyd Swartz

Secretary: Alice Benson-Johnston

Treasurer: Larry Neely

 

We are planning our next general meeting on June 21st. We look forward to your continued support and participation.

FINAL NOTICE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING/ELECTIONS

This is your final reminder of tomorrows’ meeting at 2:00 pm, (March 22nd) to be held in room 2403 at the UNM Law School. The location of is 1117 Stanford NE, Albuquerque. The meeting will begin at 2:00 o’clock sharp.

 All members should have received an election packet that included a ballot. If you have not returned your ballot yet by mail, OOPs,  too late, now you must show up in person to vote. If you are a member and did not receive a ballot, you may still vote in person if: (1) you sign an affidavit that states that you did not receive a ballot; or (2) or attesting that you have not returned the ballot to us already. The ballots are anonymous and will not be opened until the meeting. In addition, the envelope containing your ballot will be separated before the votes are counted

.

MEETING AGENDA

1.    Call to order by Lloyd Swartz.

2.     Explanation of election process by Larry Neely.

3.     Opening and counting of ballots.

4.     Installation of Board of Directors.

5.     The newly elected board will go into executive session and choose its officers, while the general membership and visitors takes a short break. 

6.     Meeting will reconvene with an open Q and A and general comment format.

7.     Adjournment at 4:30 p.m.

Election Meeting Reminder

Please mark your calendar for our upcoming meeting at 2:00 on March 22nd to be held in room 2403 at the UNM Law School. The location of is 1117 Stanford NE, Albuquerque. The meeting will begin at 2:00 o’clock sharp.

All members should have received an election packet that included a ballot. If you have not returned your ballot yet, please do so right away because we must receive them no later than Friday March 21st.

If you are a member and did not receive a ballot, you may still vote in person if: (1) you sign an affidavit that states that you did not receive a ballot; or (2) or attesting that you have not returned it to us already. The ballots are intended to be anonymous and will not be opened until the meeting. In addition, the envelope containing your ballot will be separated before they are counted.

At the conclusion of the election, the newly elected board will choose its officers. This portion of the meeting will be relatively brief and we will then proceed with a regular open meeting of the board. An agenda for the remaining portion of meeting will be distributed to you no later than Friday.
